In July 2013 we decided that in the New Year we
would refit our kitchen and bathroom. After looking
round at nearly a dozen different companies and
suppliers we found that most would do the kitchen
but not the bathroom and others the bathroom and not
the kitchen and not one of them would take on the
building work we wanted at the same time, as very
few had the ability to not only fit both but manage
the whole project which included:- • Fitting a
new boiler • Bricking up the back door •
Installing French windows • Removing three walls
- one of which would involve fitting an RSJ plus all
the associated plastering that goes with that sort
of job. • Installation of a fire suppression
system
After some two months we realised there was only one
company that could do everything we wanted, as we
wanted, as well as manage the project. From our
first meeting to the three follow up meetings Ian
and Ian were consummate professionals. They helped
plan the layout of both kitchen and bathroom and
also dealt with everything to do with the local
planning office – a nightmare for the uninitiated
especially as we were the first in the county to
have the fire suppression system installed!
So, we agreed the date and at 08.00 on that day the
first of what would over the next few weeks a stream
of craftsmen arrived. We were very impressed that
from the building work to the plastering,
electrician, carpenter, plumber and the kitchen and
bathroom fitters all went smoothly without any gaps.
Everything was co-ordinated so as to make best use
of their time – some even worked over the weekend to
meet deadlines for colleagues starting their work
the following Monday morning!
During the process our ideas were modified slightly
as things progressed and as can happen with older
properties things didn’t always materialise as
expected however Ian, Ian and their team worked
round the changes and challenges with us with
enthusiasm and without complaint. The result is
the kitchen and bathroom we always wanted plus a
great open plan look that makes use of the whole
ground floor. |

Fantastic transformation of
this kitchen
Here we have
a beautiful solid oak kitchen. We removed a wall and
doorway to open the room to be a kitchen diner. You
can see from the before pictures that the difference
is stunning.
We have integrated appliances
to go with the range cooker, Belfast sink and a
Granite worktop. The customer bought their own brick
tiles, these are cut out from real bricks, our tiler
fitted them and we got a brick layer to point the
brickwork.
We kept the original floor from
the dining area and managed to extend it into the
Kitchen. We also moved the consumer unit, this
brought up additional problems with the electrics,
but all was made safe by our electrician. New lights
were fitted in the ceiling.
This design has really come
together and the customer is overjoyed with the
result.
As usual we brought together
all the trades, Plasterer, Joiner, Plumber,
Electrician, Kitchen Fitter, Tiler, and in this case
Bricklayer. The work was completed on time apart
from a small alteration which had to be done later
and at no extra cost.

Here we have a stunning kitchen.
The original layout of the kitchen was incorporating two corners. Whilst this gave lots of work top space there wasn't much storage space once appliances had been fitted.
We took out a window and created a door out to the patio area. This then enabled us to have a straight run of kitchen units incorporating, dishwasher larder unit, sink and hob. On the other side we could house the oven and create a breakfast bar area with drawers under. As always when you can get drawer packs into the kitchen, your storage area seems to double.
"Fantastic kitchen at a fantastic price"
This kitchen includes, induction hob, integrated dishwasher, built in single oven, glass extractor, free standing american fridge freezer, glass splash back and upstand.
Solid wood worktops complimenting high gloss cream, built in bin/recycling centre. LED lights in the plinths and under the units, LED spotlights in the ceiling. The kitchen was decorated and we fitted a blind in the dining area."

We were referred to Jon and Elaine by a plumber who
we use. He said "I have a customer who I have just
fitted a boiler for they would like a new kitchen
with lots more storage, but they also want a new
back door, a new window and they want a company who
can do everything".
We designed a no fuss high gloss oak kitchen with
maximum pull out storage and drawers. We also went
with a new double oven and integrated microwave,
integrated fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher and
an integrated washing machine.
The stairs came through the ceiling at one end so we
customised units to allow for this. Along with all
the electrics, tiling, joinery and window fitting
service we also arranged a painter to paint the
newly plastered room.
I can't believe how much extra storage we have, my
wife has been out to buy extra stuff just so we can
fill the cupboards, Thanks to Ian and Ian for doing
everything we asked for and more.

It all starts with a door falling off.
Kitchens can be done to suit every budget. For this
customer we re used all the free standing
appliances, installed all new cabinets doors and
worktops, including boxing the boiler and pipe work.
We also managed to get the tiling done to the walls
and floor within budget.
The end result was a great fitted kitchen, and as
you can see from the pictures, a big difference. |

This stunning development was one of those jobs
where you really felt you had made a difference. The
work involved in transforming this kitchen is now
all forgotten as the end product is now being
enjoyed. To get to the original kitchen you had to
walk down a corridor which made it seem detached
from the rest of the house. Ian's idea was to remove
the wall between the kitchen and the dining room but
still retain the utility/boiler room at the end.
This resulted in fitting new door and windows,
raising the roof and fitting a new Velux window,
vaulting the ceiling, pointing the outside. We also
tiled the floor through even though they were
different levels the joiner and tiler were able to
fit the floor level, all the paperwork was taken
care of including building regulation approval. The
clean design of the maple kitchen gives the room
enough light to flood through to the now 'internal'
dining room. We also used many pull out units,
drawers and tall wall units to get the most storage.
"We got in touch with Ian and Ian through their
website, Ian came up with the idea to remove the
wall and raise the roof in the kitchen, it was
something we had thought about in the past but
dismissed as we thought it would be too expensive.
We discussed the idea with friends but we were still
apprehensive about going ahead with the job, Ian
and Ian came back to us with a price, not without
visiting the site 3 or 4 times. They assured us the
job was worth doing and would make a massive
difference to the house. All we can say is they were
right, Thanks again"

Tony and Susan use the same web designer as us, they
came to us through the link page on the web site.
They had strong ideas on what they wanted and
together with Ian created a breathtaking design.
The Black gloss doors, with Sparkly worktop, Red
Glass tiles and Polished floor tiles all compliment
each other in this designer Kitchen.
Along with the supply and installation of this
kitchen, we did all the tiling, supplied and fitted
an upright radiator, striped all the walls,
plastered the ceiling and fitted new spots, and
fully decorated the room to give the customer a
‘turn key’ finish.
“ we are really pleased with our new kitchen it
turned out much better than we were expecting.
Thanks again to all involved”

We were asked to modernise this kitchen for two
elderly sisters. They were very keen to keep some of
the original features, like the serving hatch, which
we did by remaking the doors in a panel which
matched the new kitchen doors.
"It was very important for us to use a company who
we could trust and bolton kitchens did everything we
wanted, They removed the old kitchen, plastered the
room, fitted the new one with all electrics, tiling
and plumbing, then they painted the new plaster so
we all we had to do was fill up the cupboards."
We will always listen to our customers and provide
them with the kitchen they want.

Mike and Lisa searched Google for kitchen fitters in
the Chorley area,
www.chorleykitchens.co.uk came up
1st and they gave Ian a call. Two days later Ian
had visited there home and discussed their needs.
Mike and Lisa were looking to remove a wall to make
a kitchen diner.
A survey was then carried out by
Ian and during this further work was discussed,
which included plastering all the textured ceilings
downstairs, fit a laminate floor from the front
door, into the office and through to the dining
kitchen and also replace the downstairs toilet
suite. All this was carried out within the scheduled
time and along with the striking black gloss
kitchen. Mike wanted to keep the radiator in the
dining area so we made units to the breakfast bar
height. Kitchen includes, integrated appliances,
wall lights and plinth lights.
This kitchen also features a splash back and no
tiles. ‘From start to finish we have been impressed
with ‘chorleykitchens’ everything we asked for and
more was carried out without hesitation, Adam the
fitter deserves a particular mention as his
enthusiasm and eye to detail was second to none.' Thanks again Mike and

Alex approached Bolton kitchens through the website,
They wanted a “different kitchen” within a budget.
Ian and Ian designed a kitchen to include a range
cooker granite worktops and Belfast sink, as per
specification. Alex wanted to have a chimney effect
around the range cooker, but there was not enough
room, we finally agreed to use dresser units with
bridging units to achieve this. The original design
was to have all the wall covered with dresser units,
but during the installation Alex was unsure where he
was going to put the microwave, we then changed the
design during the Installation so the microwave
could sit back against the wall, The end product
looks great simple and stylish. New meets old, this
is in an old cottage with new granite and old style
Belfast sink and range cooker.

Nutkin Lodge is a holiday
cottage in the lake district. The current owners
bought the property a few years ago but have been
worried about doing any work on the structure.
They wanted an apartment style feel to the place,
when on holiday they all want to be in the same room
at the same time. Roscoes, removed two walls,
carpet, curtains and the old kitchen. We then
plastered the room (to get rid of the artex). Fitted
new solid wood floor with built in Floor mats, wall
to wall. Supplied and fitted new solid oak kitchen,
oven, hob, And extractor, Franke glass/stainless
steel sink, integrated fridge, integrated dishwasher
and pull out magic corner with the help of Bolton
Kitchens.
Carried out all electric work including new storage
heaters. Built a mock chimney to house electric
fire. Fitted wall mounted TV, with secret power
supply for DVD (no cables on show) Decorated the
whole room. |
“Ian Roscoe and his team did a smashing job, we
live in Culcheth, Warrington so we were not able to
visit Nutkin much whilst work was carried out, but
Ian kept in touch and sorted problems out whenever
they came up.” Mr. + Mrs. Whitaker |

"We had been looking at a few kitchen companies, but
no one would build the 'mock' chimney to house a
range cooker. Then we contacted ,
Ian came to see us to discuss our needs, nothing
was to much trouble. They even sourced a 300 year
old oak beam to go with the character of the house.
We had removed a wall ourselves, the floors between
the two rooms were different levels, Ian Roscoe and
his team tiled the floor in the kitchen to bring the
two floors level and refinished the wood floor in
the dining area. We had chosen a solid oak kitchen
with smart stone worktops, new range cooker, double
Belfast sink, Microwave integrated in a wall unit,
but we wanted to reuse our Fridge, Washing Machine
and Dishwasher. Roscoes did the electrics,
plastering, plumbing, tiling, Kitchen fitting,
Smartstone worktop installing, sanded and oiled the
floor, and finished of other joinery in the
Kitchen. One other point, whilst Ian and Adam were
doing the kitchen an old wardrobe door had come off,
Adam refitted this without charging. Thanks to all
involved with our new kitchen, WE LOVE IT."
